Lex has been doing awesome with potty training. He’s pretty much completely ‘peepee’ trained. I still diaper him at naps and night time, but he stays dry mostly every day during waking hours. He tells me when he needs to go and we run to the bathroom.

This morning we were having our usual lazy morning routine {aka hadn’t changed diapers yet or gotten out of PJs}. After we’d been up for about 45 mins Lex suddenly said he needed to go peepee. So we ran to the bathroom. I was shocked when I took off his diaper and it was DRY!! The last time I’d taken him to the bathroom was as we were getting ready for bed last night around 8pm! We’re talking over 12 hours of dryness! Typically Lex is just SOAKED when he gets up in the morning. I’ve never actually weighed his diapers, but they’re heavy {probably not 5lbs, but you get the idea}. Today’s diaper was light as a feather.

I praised Lex profusely and he was extremely proud of himself. I don’t expect this to be an accomplishment every night {yet} but it was a step I sure didn’t expect yet!
