My boyfriend and I just bought a collar for our 4 month old kitten Max. Like any cat being restrained he freaked out. After it was on him, he heard the bell and got really excited and tried to play with it. It wasn't on tight enough and got stuck around his mouth and my boyfriend had to take it off. My boyfriend took the bell off the collar and now he seems to not even notice it. Not yet at least.

He is wearing a breakaway collar and I want to know if those are really reliable. He is still pretty young and playful and I don't want it getting stuck around his face again or on anything else for that matter. It seems like you have to tug on them pretty hard for them to snap apart. He is an indoor/outdoor cat but it seems like he would rather be outside then inside most of the time. And if he does start to freak out about the collar again, should we make him wear it? Thanks!
